About Schmidt’s Custom Furniture

I began woodworking and making furniture in 2019 after a close personal loss. I started the 9-Month Comprehensive at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship, in Rockport Maine, in the fall of 2020. I loved every minute of it. After completing the course in spring of 2021, I returned to Wisconsin. I had three goals: buy land, build a house and shop, and start a furniture-making business.

I bought 20 acres about 5 miles southeast of Menomonie Wisconsin. It’s amazing. My house and shop were completed in the first quarter of 2025.

I understand what furniture can mean to an individual and to a relationship. My goal is to make furniture to support all of our life experiences. Let me know what furniture I can make for you.
